Monday: Slow Start, Strong Finish
Dec. 15th, 2003 08:03 pmHad a "cold start" morning, even though I had a restful snow day yesterday and did not stay up late; I had a lot of trouble getting going today for no good reason. However, I rallied later in the day and actually had one of my better coding days, and more than made up for the somewhat lethargic morning.
When I was a manager of programmers (the herding cats analogy is appropriate :) ), the prevailing wisdom was that there can be huge productivity differences within a team (10:1). Now that I am coding again, I can see huge differences in my own productivity even from morning to afternoon on the same day.
Even got most of my holiday cards out today. I somehow misplaced a week and I thought there was another week between now and Christmas. Well, at least the cards got mailed. Still have shopping to do.
