Have been building a new software product for my employer for the last six months or so. After reviews of the schedule, etc. we had determined that today would be the day we would make the software available for beta testing. Things have been hectic, but we made it. I finished development at the end of December and fixed the "last" bug that I wanted to fix for beta yesterday morning. The tech writer that I have been working with rallied despite having a cold the last week and got the manual and help files done last night.

However, we did not release the beta release today. There is a PC client portion of the software that has a standard windows installer. Such installers have "click through" license agreements. I know better than to leave anything that involves lawyers, contracts, etc. until the last minute, so I raised the need for this a month ago. Still no license text. Maybe tomorrow. Trying to work with people who move on a geological time scale is very frustrating. My boss was calling the lawyers hourly today.
