New Toy, with interface changes.

Got a new laptop for work, a new IBM ThinkPad with a 15" screen. The screen is awesome! Laptops still continue to get better, and this one is great. One minor problem: I did struggle with the dual user interface: it has a ThinkPad "eraserhead" pointer which I am used to from my old work laptop, and like. However, it also has a "scratch pad" area for moving the mouse pointer. The problem is that the scratch pad is where I like to lay my thumbs when I type. I kept accidentally moving the mouse pointer. For now I have disabled the "scratch pad": I know many people like them but it was driving me nuts. Maybe I will try again with it later. Other than that, a great machine.
