End of era?

Took a walk tonight to get some dinner. Went past my local Blockbuster video franchise. It is closed and out of business. This is really quite surprising: it used to be a very busy store. I wonder if we are approaching the end of video rental places due to on Demand Cable (which I use from time to time), and Netflix (which I have yet to try but know many who love it).
