How not to handle a customer
Dec. 30th, 2008 06:19 pmIn my previous post, I mentioned one of my consulting gigs was ending. Since then, I finished and documented my last two projects, and am now done.
This work was "pass thru" contracting where I had been hired to do some work for one of my customer's clients. When I was winding down, I mentioned to 2 people that the client needed to be told I was leaving, who to call about my work, etc. Everyone agreed this was important, and would be done. It was not.
Today, I found out that the client in question was emailing me and wondering why they were not getting a response. Apparently this has contributed to the client being pretty upset.
