My cable TV fails last week (luckily not my internet, interestingly). I schedule an appointment for today several days in advance. Cable guy is supposed to come today between 12 and 4. At 4:05, I have no seen no cable guy, so I call Comcast, and wait on hold for 5 minutes. The very nice phone support lady listens to my story and then says "you have no service call scheduled today". After I explain this is not the case, I get put on hold for another 15 minutes. It turns out the scheduled call was never entered in the the system, or something, so the dispatcher did not dispatch anyone. However, they have to call other people to try to rectify this. They will call me back within a half hour. 40 minutes later they call saying they will try to schedule someone tonight, but have to call me back again because more people have to be talked to. 10 minutes later I am called and told the "Cable Guy" will be here after 7:00. Oh well, we shall see. Hopefully they will not send This guy.

Edit 7:47 -- Cable guy came and fixed problem. TV nirvana restored. It turns out someone else in my building had their cable turned off, and the connections in the cable box were mislabeled, so the connection to my unit was disconnected. The technician was great, it is just dealing with Comcast itself that seems to be the problem. My internet was on a different line which is why it was not impacted.
