Finished reading "Party of One, the Loners' Manifesto" By Anneli Rufus a couple of days ago. I really liked it. She talks about people being Loners or non-Loners by nature. I found myself much closer to the Loners side and think that was even more the case when I was younger. Three things that she covered well that struck me the most were:
1) Loners are not anti-social, and do have friends. We just enjoy spending some time alone.
2) Its OK to not like large family events. I do not like them, and never did. Its nice to see someone write about it.
3) Finally, she takes to task law enforcement who feel compelled to classify many criminals as loners, which tends to associate loners with criminals which is unfair.
At any rate, I liked the book.
