Classic Creepy TV
Jul. 2nd, 2004 07:45 pmRecently, I have discovered that the "Mystery Channel" (part of my cable package here in Newton), is showing Rod Serling's "Night Gallery". This show ran in the early 70s, and I found it very scary as a kid. It is anthology style and the segments vary in quality from excellent to truly terrible. I had totally forgotten about this show, and have enjoyed watching it again. The good episodes have held up very well and are still quite creepy. Rod Serling's Twilight Zone is better remembered but Night Gallery had its moments.
Speaking of the Twilight Zone, of all the TV episodes I have watched, I think the Twilight zone episode with the monster on the wing of the plane is most memorable. Every time I get a wing seat on an airplane I think of it. I forget the title of the episode but it stared a young pre Star Trek William Shatner.
