Was going to be a quiet day working at home coding. Stopped by a friends house who lives nearby to go out to lunch. In addition to lunch, I got involved in getting a squirrel out of a gutter covered with flashing. Before I arrived, an attempt to close an opening that was letting squirrels get under some metal flashing attached to a gutter had unfortunately trapped a squirrel in there. Through a sequence of getting out on a roof, undoing the covering that trapped the critter, waiting for it to leave (it was unreachable), and then closing it off again to prevent another occurrence we succeeded. Happy ending: animal got out unharmed, we did not break the house, and no humans were hurt either. Not what I expected to be doing today. Squirrels are pretty loud it turns out.
