Did quite a bit of coding today. Almost went down a wrong path however. Over the snowy weekend, I spent some time deciding between two design alternatives, and I spent considerable time concluding alternative A was much better than alternative B. I was very sure... This morning in accordance with my design, I tried to start building A. Within about an hour I decided I had made the wrong decision. I ended up going with B, which it turns out is simpler, better performing, and easier to implement. Have B mostly done now. I took a very pleasant break from work last night, and perhaps that cleared my head. Have to file A in the "seemed like a good idea at the time" pile. Spent considerable time picking the wrong thing, oops...
