The appliance conspiracy
Dec. 11th, 2003 02:15 pmThe place I live in is about 15 years old, including the assorted appliances that came with the place. Am beginning to think appliances have a built in failure mechanism that kicks in after about 15 years. In the last month or so:
1) The microwave died and had to be replaced (with my poor cooking skills its much more important than the regular stove :) ).
2) The washing machine is failing... Still hanging in however.
3) And today, the dryer is acting up (works intermittently now).
While I suppose none of this should be that shocking given the age of the appliances, it makes one wonder when they all go at once. Maybe its the things come in 3s rule.
