Have now done 3 short (and way slow) runs on the track at my gym. I remain optimistic that I will be able to run again regularly (at least a little). Been a little sore, but it has been good sore: need to get muscles used to running again. Have been doing other forms of exercise but there are still muscles that only running seems to tone (at least for me), hence the sore week. So far, no bad (injury) type pain, and most importantly my back feels good.

Continue to marvel how happy running again has made me. I did not realize how much I liked it and missed it. It clears my head like nothing else. At one point I used to run almost every day. Sure glad my gym has an indoor track with all the cold. However, I will try some outdoor running again when the weather is less vile and my muscles are a little more toned up again.
