Odd product warning

Bought a CD/paper shredder for my home office, which I have wanted/needed for a while. It had warnings to avoid product liability suits (do not stick fingers into grinder, be careful with neckties ...). One expects these types of things, but it also had the warning: "never insert your finger into the center hole of a CD while shredding". While this is certainly good advice, it struck me as odd to mention specifically. I wonder if someone had a misadventure that prompted this explicit warning.
