Saturday at home
Dec. 6th, 2003 10:10 pmSaturday tends to be a big day for me for running around on errands, and such. Did not go out today at all, my longest trip was downstairs on the elevator to get my mail (the postal service did good, it was not even late). It may be years since I just stayed in on a Saturday. Very quiet and pleasant: read, wrote code, watched a couple of DVDs, and surfed the web. I watched "Bowling for Columbine" by Michael Moore (I liked his "Roger and Me" a lot a few years back). Really liked this movie, highly recommended; I think it was better than Roger and Me.
Commercial TV is just plain weird on storm days. I fully admit this is a serious storm, but the TV guys make it sound like the start of the end of the world. They also devote way too much time to it; it seems that they are constantly "checking in" with reporters to verify that it is still snowing like it was when they checked in a couple of minutes before.
